Agent Provocateur’s Lorna was my first ‘luxury’ lingerie set! I started my Instagram account with Lorna too, however removed the photos as I wasn’t satisfied with the low quality and harsh lighting. Just over a year after the creation of my account it appears on my feed once again. 2019 has been a year of growth and learning for my account and I finally have it at a place I’m happy with. I know my photos will never look professional as long as I don’t have any fancy gear but that’s okay; at a time where many people are using Instagram to build personal brands to sell it’s helpful to remind yourself that you can have a hobby that isn’t for the sake of making money/work, but for fun. That being said I’m proud of my progress in learning to photograph better and hope to continue this.
Don’t worry, the loose hanging suspender clips are annoying me just as much as they are you. It’s a “trend” I’ve seen a lot on Instagram that I don’t understand; either wear the set without the suspender (or choose one with a waspie) or attach them to something! Especially with garters gaining popularity, such as Bordelle’s, there’s an anchor for suspenders without going all out on stockings. As for my excuse (the stylings I’m referencing are proper photo shoots) is that I got out of bed while I had a cold to take these as a perk me up and ended up liking the series enough to share here. Funny enough I wouldn’t consider the Lorna suspender to be the sturdiest to keep my stockings in place all day so I suppose it’s relevant. As only my second suspender belt I wasn’t clued up enough to consider the practicalities of the design so this one is usually reserved for wear with garters or hold ups.
While Lorna’s suspender is not the most practical, the two piece set most definitely is for everyday wear. It is one of my most frequently worn sets, luxury or not, as it’s simple shape fits nicely under most clothing in my wardrobe. When I first purchased it I was rather precious about wearing it but I’ve since learnt that there’s no point saving nice lingerie; wear it everyday!
