At the Bordelle sample sale last month I knew I wanted to get my hands on Amaya, a set I’d been lusting after since it’s release, but was prohibited by my student budget. When making pre-sale prep notes on their website my partner suggested the blue version over the pink I’d been looking at and at first I wasn’t sure (I’m a big pink fan; lingerie, tableware, bedding, everything pink) but when I got my hands on both colours at the sale I knew he made the right call. The blue/caramel combo is divine and feels so regal!
Bordelle’s quality really can’t be faulted. The design alone is jaw dropping and the construction is flawless. Even the little things like pattern matching that are so often overlooked by some brands are all present in a Bordelle piece. Both the bra and brief are a size S and, while I am more suited to Bordelle’s SS bras, they both work for my 30B/32A and W25”/H35”. Although I don’t fill out the cup as it was designed it still sits comfortably (with no nip slip). As with most Bordelle designs, the straps on the cups are adjustable and so are the straps both on the hips and bottom of the brief. As to be expected with so much detail on this bodice it’s heavier than a normal bra so I would strongly advise against hanging this from its straps in storage (though I advise against this with any clothing with elastic straps)...
The colour and embroidery combo on Bordelle’s Amaya feels oh so regal so Creepyyeha’s Tapioca pearl and gold choker feels like the perfect match. Also how could I upload a Bordelle piece without a photograph of the gorgeous back? Perfect for an intentional showing of your bra straps.
